October Update

Okay so October is nearly over, and I don't know where the month has gone!!! We were happy to see Bryan last week since it was UEA!!! The kids are having a bit of a hard time adjusting to him not being home at all again. I celebrate my 25th birthday on Sunday, I don't feel old, but I can't believe I am 25. I bought a coat with some of my money, and Bry is supposed to be buying me my first course with Jessica Sprague! Kylie is dancing away and learning her competition routine. She also has much anticipation over her up and coming 4th birthday!! She knew that after mine hers is the next to arrive, she can hardly wait! She will be starring in her first Primary Program this Sunday, and has a pretty big part. She will be reading an 8 page poem she has memorized!!! As she reads it all the other sunbeams do cute little had gestures! I will post a video of her doing in the next couple days. Ethan is having a bit of separation anxiety. I can't even walk up stairs to grab something without him rushing to me panicked. He also has an obsession with suckers right now, he asks for them all day long, luckily I have filled my Halloween advent calendar with dum dum's. We have just begun our Christmas shopping, and hope to get it done early this year. I am going to try and do the twelve days of Christmas with my kids this year with an activity every day, that means I hope to post everyday on our festivities! Stay tuned for Kylie's video, pictures of the Holt Halloween Party, and of course Halloween itself! Happy Hauntings till then!

The Thrills of Everyday Life

I just recently set up an account on facebook, and have been astonished at how many of my friends from school have been on it too! I laugh at how different my life is now from when I was in High School, and all I had to worry about was: grades, socializing, and of course Dance Co. I loved hanging out on the weekends with friends and driving my two seated convertible Honda! Oh, how life has changed! The things that give me a thrill now range from: putting up holiday decorations, cutting sandwiches into fun shapes, naptime, bedtime, and going to the restroom in privacy! Sure to some people that might not seem like a lot, but for me these type of things can make my day! I anxiously await the next six years and to see what new thrills I seek then!

It's Halloween at Preschool

Okay so Kylie's preschool goes off of her teachers' kids' school schedule, so she is on D track. That means today was her last day of school till November 2nd. So they had their Halloween Party today. We got her all dressed up in her Cinderella costume and headed off for a fun filled day of Halloween fun! I had signed up to help with the class today, and do an activity with them! I chose to do a "Witch Hunt", which is just an interactive story. The kids enjoyed themselves, and I don't envy Miss Hollie having to deal with all these little ones all of the time! Kylie of course asked me to take a couple of pictures of her in her costume! Hopefully we can get better ones around Halloween!

The Ranch 2008

Okay so we just go back from our trip to the ranch and we had a pretty good time! We went swimming, yes that is Kylie and I in a giant bowl! However; the bowl began to sink when I sat in it, so I screamed since the water was so cold, and Ethan began to cry (he thought I was hurt!) how sweet is that! The kids also trick or treated as normal, but we didn't want to take Kylie Cinderella costume or it would have got super dirty!!! This is Ethan costume for this year though! He is a pirate! Well we had a good time, but are glad to get back and be clean, and get proper rest!

Bye Bye Baby

Yes, Ethan is definitely a terror, but I am missing him like crazy! This weekend the kids and I will be going down to are annual trip to the Ranch! However, Kylie didn't want to miss dance on Tuesday, and my older brother Jake and his wife Becca, could not leave until Thursday. So in an effort to only take two cars, my Mom and Dad took Ethan with them on Tuesday, and we are leaving tomorrow morning! They actually had to leave early morning Tuesday, so Ethan spent the night! I haven't seen him since Monday night, and I am missing my little terror like CRAZY!!!! He may be difficult, but he is also full of personality and very entertaining! Not to mention, Kylie is so distraught! She is very worried about him and keeps asking when we get to see him again! We have never been away from him, and 2 1/2 days are driving us crazy! Well we will be leaving early morning so till we get back this little post will have to suffice!

My Little Man or Should I Say MONSTER

My little boy is so Naughty, but so cute at the same time!!! He knows it too! Ethan's favorite things to do is anything he shouldn't be doing. Drawing on walls, getting out every video we own, biting, pinching, hitting, throwing food, climbing on everything, and any other naughty thing a little boy can do. If this is how all little boys are, I think I would prefer having another little girl! Kylie was a complete angel compared with Ethan. Don't get me wrong, I love him to death, he is just my test and trial! NO means nothing to him, and if I swat his bum he comes and hits me back! At church he makes mad dashes up the aisle if he has a chance, I don't get to really sit for more than 5 minutes in any of my meetings! I honestly feel like the only thing I do anymore is clean the same things over, and over again! He loves anything boy! Balls, Cars, and Batman are his favorite toys and he also loves his wagon! Anytime we go to my Mom's he wants to go on 4 wheeler rides, that is why he is getting a little Batman 4 wheeler for Christmas! His favorite words are No, Mam, Car, Ball, Meow, Moo, Roar, bye, Gama, Papa, Baman(Batman), and Tger. Tger is Tigger, but he calls his Winnie the Pooh plush this. I told him his name is Pooh, but he just make is ick face and says EECK! He thinks I'm talking about real poo! He now also points to his bum when he poos, or the opposite when peeing. When I ask if he needs to go potty he runs and points at the toilet. We have tried sitting on it a couple of times, but he only wants to sit their for a second to look big. Yes this is my little man in a nutshell, I think I may go grey early in life!

Finally!!!!

Okay so we finally have grass out in front of our house!!!!! Yeah the moment we could I took the kids outside where they ran around, they are so excited! Now just a few more days, and they should have the playground finished too!!! It is so nice, and now I won't have to clean dirt off my front door constantly!

Little Artist

Kylie is the child who would sit and color all day if I let her. She loves using paints, chalk, drawing, and making images lining things together! On Sunday night she pointed down to Bry and I that she had made a Cat with tail and all! We are very impressed with her! I hope she keeps her creative ability going. She right now colors everything in Rainbows, she stays in the lines, but colors small blocks of color throughout the picture until it ends up a Rainbow. I love it! Hope you enjoy the picture, I am impressed with my 3 1/2 year old and her ability even if no one else is!

The Witches are Out

We went to Gardner Village today and met up with Aunt Beansie, Charlotte, and Will. It was a beautiful day and the girls were super excited to see the witches, well at least from a distance. Ethan freaked out he didn't want to get too close. I set him down on the bench next to the girls to try for a cute pic, but he was off that bench so fast! The first picture is one of him scowling at the witches! Can't wait to see him on Halloween!!! It was fun, I didn't get any good pictures since the girls would not really cooperate! Here's the best of the bunch!

Lights Out!

Okay so yesterday at about 2:30 in the afternoon our power went out..... and it didn't come back on till 8:30 at night! What can I say it was horrible!!! Some one hit a power pole near my house and it knocked out all the power in my surrounding area, cops were directing traffic along 5600 W., which is one of the busiest roads around here come rush hour!!!! Well my Mom stopped by after work and we went and got some dinner, since the kiddos and I were a little bored stiff! You can only entertain so long with no power especially when the AC isn't working and everyone is getting hot and bothered. Kylie had the hardest time she just didn't want to accept it. She finally got so frustrated she opted to go and take a nap!! We took a walk played with toys and just sat outside where it was actually cooler than the house. Bry missed it all of course!
