YO HO, YO HO
Okay, Okay anybody who really knows me knows that I am a bit of a pre-planner. Yep, I can't stand things being thrown together at the last minute. I am definitely not a fly by the seat of my pants kind of gal, I need time to prepare! For instance I am usually done Christmas shopping by mid-November, and we started planning Kylie's birthday party and the beginning of last year :) I know you may think I am weird, but it actually causes me anxiety to wait till the last minute. I actually get pretty panicked if I am late somewhere. So I've learned I just need to plan early to alleviate the stress :) So what am I planning now? A PIRATE BIRTHDAY party for May!!!!! Yay! Don't judge me too harshly, Spring is going to be CRAZY this year!!!! Kylie has dance competitions up the wazoo in April and May. My baby brother is getting married in May, and guess who's doing pictures and has to look in a dress cuz I'm in the line? Me that's who! So I've got a lot on my plate and don't want Ethan to suffer for it ;) I actually only allow my kids to have actual birthday parties every other year, so we are on the schedule of every even year for both of them :) Each alternating year we just do something fun as a family with them. I think it helps them appreciate them a little more and makes them a little more memorable! So If I have PIRATES on the brain for the next few months excuse me, but it's a Pirate's life for me ;) (please excuse the cheese)
Project 52- week 4
This weeks theme was "Soothing Repetition", yikes some of these are a little far out there. Especially when I am trying to involve my children in each one! I almost gave this week up as a no show! Well, that all changed when I walked in to my bedroom and found Kylie fast asleep listening to some tunes on my IPOD :) Love this kid!!!!! She has always been my child to fall asleep doing just about anything! When she was between the ages of 1 and 2 she used to fall asleep eating meals! It was seriously a riot!!! Bryan likes to go in her room after she's asleep and try to rouse her....... yah not an easy task :) Once she's out, she's out :) Thanks Kylie, for giving me my shot even when I don't ask :)

Project 52 week 3!
This weeks theme..... "Shades of Grey". Personally not my favorite so far, but it's my goal to stick to it as well as have one of the kids involved too :) I finally got Ethan involved too!!!!! YAY!!!! So here is my explanation, drum roll please, they're my shades and they're grey ( I know really moving right?) LOL!!! Can't wait till Saturday for my next theme, I am really enjoying myself!

I want this!
I want this dress! It looks a little short, but the model is 6'1", so not really :) The color would probably look horrible on me since I'm a pretty pale person, but I love the look of it! Hey, it's definitely not a need so it probably won't happen, but I can dream that my husband will one day read my blog and come up with some wonderful idea to get it for me right? LOL..... sorry that was funny! Oh well, it would probably wrinkle like mad when your child climbs on your lap in sacrament anyways right?

Project 52
I am participating in a Project 52 with MCP Actions. Basically it's a photo a week that goes along with the theme they give you. You don't have to follow the themes, but it is my goal too :) I am also going to incorporate the kids into each weekly theme too! It just turned out that Kylie was the model for weeks one and two. For week one, she was home and Ethan was at preschool when I was shooting and for week two I just don't think Ethan could have pulled off the rhinestones ;)
WEEK 1- "Something Around the House"- Laundry is my arch nemesis!!! I hate it, as it never ends!!!! It's a viscous cycle (no pun intended wink, wink) of dirtiness looming over me each week. So here is sweet little Kylie working the laundry pile :) I swear you could put her in a garbage bag and she could work it :)
WEEK 2- "Illustrate a Song"- They said to choose a song title and have the image go with that! I couldn't choose just one photo, so I submitted two :) I had some color ones edited too, but the black and white seemed so dramatic!!! My song title is if you couldn't guess "Rhinestone Cowboy", and oldie but goodie :) I think Kylie pulled out all the stops! Bryan saw the pictures and sighed saying he might have to invest in a shot gun early! LOL..... I love my little photogenic Kylie bug :)
I will receive next weeks theme on Saturday, I am having a lot of fun with this :) It really gets your creative juices flowing! If you want to join in go ahead! You don't have to be a photographer or even have more then a camera phone, it's open to anybody!

January Update
Here we are in January with a new year sitting on our laps and weight loss on 95% of America's brains! Don't you just love how every add you look at is advertising some quick way to get in shape and lose those extra pounds? I think they figured out what everyone's New Year's resolutions are (well at least for a few weeks). Bry just started school today, and his new JOB!!!! YAHOO!!!!! The sad thing is, I missed him :( It was nice having him home, but I am still happy he has a job. I am slowly but surely believing 2011 is going to be much better! I have hit my slow months (january & february) so I am enjoying more time with the kiddos and actually cleaning my house! I feel like I need a major applause ;) Primary is also keeping me busy, a new year always brings extra work I love it though. I sometimes wonder if the teachers think I am a bit off my rocker though? I am so I guess it doesn't matter that they know it's true ;) Kylie is back at dance after winter break, but is off track at school. She came up to me today and told my Justin Bieber was hot; really are we starting this? Then she asked, isn't he Mom? LOL, an older girl at dance told her she was going to marry him! I am happy to admit I don't find Justin quite as hot as the little girls and would be scared if I did. I told her I liked men who are bald, she walked away laughing :) Ethan is really concerned right now with the question of who he is going to marry. Don't ask me why, I think he's more concerned that when people get married they leave their Moms and Dads. He walked up to me this morning and asked if he could marry me; I love that kid! Hopefully there will be more to report next month, but as for right now we're happy with the little news and easy going pace. We celebrate our 8th anniversary next month, I am beginning to feel really old. That decade is getting closer!!! It now makes me giggle when I say that I'm getting older and people who are older then me keep telling me that I'm so young. Don't they realize I seem so young to them because they're getting older? LOL.... not that getting older is bad :)

Mommy will you play with me?
Wow, in the past six years Mommy play time has changed a lot! Right now the big Mommy will you play ............ with me fills the blank with the Harry Potter lego wii game. Bry bought it for me around my birthday in hopes of getting me to actually play video games. The kids aren't quite good enough to do it themselves so I end up getting sucked in. I do actually enjoy it, and Lego likes to add a bit of humor in with their games that gives me the giggles :) We are on a bit of a Lego kick all around. That is basically what we have been doing since Christmas; building legos! That's okay with me, because I loved legos as a kid and so did Bry :) So if you wonder what we are doing at our house just thing LEGO!

Um... it has snowed a tad in Utah
I have really been wanting to do a little photo shoot with the kids in the snow! Since it snowed so much last week I thought, he New Years day it is :) Well, it was also only 20 degrees on the first too! Yah, it didn't last too long. The kids got ornery quick, and even my hands (in gloves) were so cold they hurt! We did get some fun pictures though! I love snowy woodland backgrounds when they're real ;) I also am now in love with some furry leggings that I found! They were way cheaper then buying furry boots :)

Happy 2011
Well it is finally here, a new year with new opportunity! I am really excited for this year, and am looking forward to setting in to motion things that have been in the workings of my mind :) I have a lot of plans with my business this year, and hope those work out as well as they work out in my brain. I am also looking forward to getting back in shape and taking care of myself a bit better! We set started setting up the Primary room this week, and I am so excited for the new year! I had a a dream of what we were going to do with the theme and wall, I know a tad crazy right? Well, Alison took my dream and made it into a reality! Thanks girly :) Ethan is beginning sunbeams tomorrow, and I am so excited to see him fall in love with primary like Kylie (trust me I am crossing my fingers pretty tight). I am happy and in a good frame of mind to start this year off, I hope it carries me through till next Christmas :) I have a ton of personal goals sitting on my check list, and I will share them with you as I pass them off. Thanks to my family and friends for you support, 2010 wasn't my favorite year (maybe even my hardest so far) but you made it a little easier with just your presence so thanks :)
