8 Years

8 years ago today I got married! Yep, I remember being sick to my stomach, excited, and then we froze are butts off the rest of the day trying to get pictures ;) It was so cold and windy on my wedding day! My biggest regret is the hair stylist I used. She assured me nothing could take out my hair, but she was sadly mistaken! My hair fell apart and I spent the 2 hours I had in between everything before my reception crying and trying to do it myself! Not what you should have to worry about on your wedding day, right? Well, that is all long gone and we have two beautiful children and have been through many good and a few bad times. We are still here though and I love Bryan more now then I did then :) Now the countdown begins to Bry's birthday which is in one week, we weren't very good at spacing things out ;) Happy Anniversary Bryan!

WINNINGEST!!!!! WHAT, REALLY?

Oh yes, I was watching the news tonight when the sports anchor said that Jerry Sloan had the 3 most winningest seasons in NBA history. WINNINGEST isn't a word! Well, after a long fight with Bryan and some quick text to my big bro, yep it is. It was added in 1972, seriously disappointing. I can't get over it. You wouldn't say "hey I'm winning", then the guy running past you shouts "well, I'm winninger!" The last guy zooming past shouting, "I'm winningest!" You would think you had just ran into a crowd of low IQ runners am I right? Does this disturb anyone else? I am having a hard time with it. Can't you put EST on the end of any word then? Hi, I'm reading, well I'm readinger, and I'm readingest! Of course not! Stupid jocks making up dumb words that shouldn't exist!!! I think I'll write Webster and complain ;) Who's with me?! Why not just say Jerry Sloan had the 3 most winning seasons in NBA history? Is the word winning not good enough? Somehow putting an EST makes it sound even better, I think not!

Project 52 week 7

The theme for this week was "Open your heart". Ethan has to sleep with about 10 stuffed animals! Bryan always jokes that there is no room for more. They other day Ethan saw a new friend he wanted and I told him there wasn't room, his remark "There's always room for more Mom!" He opens his heart to any stuffed friend he can find ;)

Happy Love Day!

Happy Valentines Day to you and yours! Bry and I don't celebrate Valentine's day since our anniversary is next week. We typically save the dinner date and all that jazz for then. I have to say it's nicer since on Valentine's day it is so busy :) The kids came home from school with lots of treats and cute little cards from their classmates. It makes me sad that Valentine boxes are a thing of ancient history now :( I remember the year after Sleepless in Seattle came out I made the Empire State building with a big heart on each side as my box. It was the biggest in the class. There was always this one girl in my classes though that always made these amazing boxes no one could compete with. That year I thought I might have a chance, but alas she brought a gumball machine box that when you put a valentine in the top it spit out a nice juicy gumball for the giver! Seriously how can you win against that? Well I am off to watch Tabatha tell salon owners how pathetic their business really is ;) Hey, Bry loves it too! Hope you all had or have a happy day full of Love!

Project 52 week 6

"WORDS"- was the theme of the week. Lately at our house the kids have discovered LYING, yep those little sneaks :) My new favorite phrase (because it's true when you become a Mom you just know when you're being lied to) is "Choose your words WISELY". I have always been a person that hates when people lie flat out to my face, I think it insults my intelligence. I can usually tell when people are lying to me, and would rather someone be honest with me then tell the fib. At our house it gets you in less trouble if you tell the truth even if you were PINCHING your brother (Kylie's new favorite torture) or driving your sister absolutely insane (Ethan's everyday torture). I can not say I have never told a lie. Usually mine are stupid though. I remember flat out lying to my TLC teacher telling her I was allergic to raisins so I didn't have to put it in my granola. She said then you're allergic to grapes too? Yep, that was my answer. To make it worse she said I usually don't believe people when they tell me that, but you are a great student and I believe you. WOW! The sad thing is I still didn't put raisins in my granola, I hate raisins and I would have just thrown it away and wasted it if they were in there. LOL.... I don't remember lying much to my parents when I was a kid or teenager, I am usually a brutally honest person. That's why I think some people don't like me, but if you understand my nature that I'd rather have someone tell me the truth then lie then I guess you see why I am the way I am. Bryan knows! He came in the bathroom the other morning and I told him his TIE looked HIDEOUS with his pants :) He told don't worry about sparing his feelings ;) LOL, well I might be more honest with him then a complete stranger ;)

Teacher, I Appreciate You!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Well, it is at Kylie's school anyways ;) I was in charge of the door this year, and had planned on taking a picture for blogging purposes yet it didn't happen! Go figure, things never seem to go as I plan them. I did the door with this saying "Ms. Brasher, Thanks for helping us BLOOM! I had a big old sunshine and a watering can spraying some big poofy flowers in spring grass. On each water droplet had a kid in the classes name. It turned out really cute. I walked through the halls and saw that some moms had seriously got a piece of poster board and wrote THANK YOU on it. It made me sad :( The PTA lets you use the teacher supply room to get the large colored roll papers and stuff, so it can't be about the cost. I know the doors take more time then you think, I seriously took 7 hours to do mine. I just think teachers are under paid in this state so put some effort in when you can to show them you appreciate it right? Anyways, sorry for my little rant. Today is also the day I go help out in Kylie's classroom so I went and got Ms. Brasher some flowers too. It was funny walking into the school today. All the secretaries and teachers I met on my path to her room oohed and aahed and said how lucky she was. When I walked in her classroom she even asked me who they were for? LOL, I am always so happy when something so simple makes someone so shocked and happy. She is a wonderful teacher and I am so happy Kylie has been in her classroom this year! Thanks Ms. Brasher, and all the other teachers out there :)

Sick Again

Oh yes, once again I am sick! I can't seem to just catch the common cold either, it has to be something more devastating that lasts a month. Bry told me I need to take more vitamin C because he never gets sick and I always do. Well, he isn't around the kids and I am! He sees them 2 hours a day if he's lucky! I see them ALL DAY and they want to come snuggle up to you and cough right in your face :) That's always a favorite! I finally went to the doctors when I woke up yesterday with my ears throbbing. He told me I had a sinus infection that has now turned into bronchitis and a double ear infection :( No fun, I got me some antibiotics so hopefully they'll start tearing this sickness apart fast! I don't have time to be sick anymore, I have to go decorate for teacher appreciation week, mini sessions are Saturday, and we are going to my parents for the Superbowl! Which is also my big brother's birthday this year, Happy Birthday Jake! See no time for this stuff, so it better catch a clue and get going ;)

Project 52- week 5

This weeks theme was "Muse". I obviously have two Muses at my house, my two little munchkins. I bought my first camera to take nicer pictures of my kids never intending anything more. I am so glad that much more came from it, because I absolutely love what I do!!! So here's a pic of my two little muse monkey's jumping on the bed!

February is HERE!

Happy Ground Hog's Day everyone! If you didn't know the ground hog decided that there is no more WINTER that SPRING is upon us :) I sure hope that little guys is right! Well, a new month means a new update or should we say journal entry ;) Bryan is busy with work and school. He loves his job, and has even learned some Spanish :) LOL, his accent isn't the most fabulous, he definitely seems like a major white guy trying to speak spanish. He has started back up with his work out routine since he thinks he's getting fat! Yah right! He's still 15lbs under his old weight, but gained like 7lbs back from the holidays. I haven't lost anything! Every time I say I'm going to start working out I seem to get a head cold :( I haven't been able to breath for the past 3 weeks and my snot is anything but clear! (ewww! sorry too much info) I am still determined to drop 15lbs before the wedding in May, or become pregnant. So far it's a no go on either, so I'm pretty much stuck in LIMBO!!! I am decorating Kylie's teacher's door this Friday for teacher appreciation week next week! It seriously feels like one of those things you check off on your "Things to do when I am a Mom list". I can't wait for warmer weather, I took an 18 year olds photos last Saturday and froze my butt off and topped it off with some yummy inversioned air ;) This is my last month before all craziness is sure to break loose, so I hope the 28 days doesn't go too fast. We are preparing for Jason and Tela's wedding and getting her bridal shower ready. I am doing their photos so we will be doing engagements and groomals pretty soon! To top it off Kylie's competitions start in April and we will be there all day long this year since she has three routines to compete. Seriously 10 hours of high school bleacher seating is not the most exciting thing on the planet. Kylie herself is doing so well with everything she puts on her plate. She excels at school, loves dance, and loves primary too! Ethan is a little more stubborn and I have had to get on him in primary about sulking whenever I am looking. I was doing sharing time and he kept coming up to me and tugging on my dress trying to talk to me. Alison had to grab him, then the rest of the time he sat and gave me dirty looks from his seat! I love the kid, and his personality is to die for! He has Bry and I laughing our heads off most days. Lately he is obsessed with going fishing and playing baseball. The creepy thing is we have never been fishing and when we asked him why he wanted to go fishing he said, "Jack told me about it." Of course his best friend is Jack so I said, "Your friend Jack told you about fishing?" "No, Mom the Papa Jack told me," I about lost it! My Grandpa was a big fisher and died in July this year! I miss him so much, he was the first person close to me that I have ever lost. I find myself bursting into tears sometimes when I am doing random things and something reminds me of him. I know I'll see him again some day, but it's still hard when someone that has been a big part of your life isn't there anymore. I have always been really close to my Mom's parents. On a happier note, I read all three books in the Hunger Games series and LOVED THEM! If you know me you know I love complex characters who aren't perfect! I am in fact a PEETA fan though, he is definitely up there with the Gilbert Blythe's of literature men ;) I hope they make them into movies for sure (they would probably be RATED R though due to the whole premis of the books) Good read if you haven't read them yet! Well have a nice Month of Love everyone!
