Family Home Evening
Lately family home evening at our home has been a crack up! The kids are both loving being involved!!!! Kylie gave the lesson tonight and Ethan is up for next week. Kylie gave us a short explanation on baptism, she is becoming very knowledgeable of what it's all about and the convenants she will be making next year!!!! I can't believe next December she will be getting baptized :) Ethan was in charge of treats (which really means Mommy), but he chose cinnamon rolls so we got to making some for his goodie. Bry was in charge of the activity....... DRUMROLL......... Hide and Seek. I suggested instead of playing hide and seek we play seek and hide (which some people call sardines). I like to call it SEEK & HIDE because that is exactly what it is. One person hides and you seek them, when you find them you hide with them. Bry thought that sounded fun (he had never played this version, seriously
he seems like he must have been a lame child!) Anyways I haven't played seek and hide since I was a kid! Kylie went first while the rest of the family counted in the closed laundry room.... Well we walk out and notice the garage door is open :) So we head out there, I convince Bry and Ethan that is was just a ruse that Kylie was tricking us by leaving the door open and they head back in side. I obviously saw Kylie and turn to hide with her behind the car (seriously I had a talking with the girl on covering your tracks) LOL, I must be pretty trust worthy, because the boys fell for it until they noticed I was no longer with them :) Bry found us next, and I couldn't help laughing while Ethan started panicking when he couldn't find the rest of the family (he is scared to be alone). Next it was my turn...... I hid in the hall closet (right next to the laundry room where they were counting. However it took them forever to find me! Man, I need to teach my kids some hiding and finding skills!!!! Bry found me first, it is pretty interesting fitting to adults in a small coat closet! LOL, we even moved the hoover floor mate out into the hall and it still took the kids awhile to find us! Bry was next he whispered to me where he was going to hide (I guess he wanted some confined alone time with me in the storage space behind the stairs ;) Kylie found us next, and Ethan began panicking again, poor kid. His turn was next, I came out of the laundry room and found someone peaking out of the exact place I had hidden only two turns ago. He must have liked my spot :) I got in with him and Bry hid around the corner...... (hey it's not a big hall closet) Kylie finally found us :)
Don't you love our family nights! LOL, we are a bunch of dorks really ;)

Getting Married
Did you know that my baby brother is getting married!!! I am lucky enough to be their photographer too ;) I remember being a little kid and thinking it seemed like forever till I would be a grown up! Well, I grew up a long time ago, but it is even harder to imagine my little brother as a grown up for some reason. He came five years after me, and seven years after Jake. He has been the baby for so long!! Everyone in the family is all grown up now, no more kids for my parents. They now have all adult children ;) I called Jason my baby brother in front of Kylie today, she started laughing and said he wasn't a baby! He will always be my baby brother though, the person when I was a child I felt the need to defend and protect! When Bry and I first got married when ever I'd get mad I would yell "Jason," then apologize out of habit ;) Bry called me Christine for a little while when the opposite would happen, LOL! I am so happy Jason has found such an amazing person to spend his life with! We all love Tela, Ethan says she is really pretty :) She definitely is! Congrats Jason and Tela! I love you both and look forward to your wedding in May :)

Project 52- Week 10
The theme for this week was "Childhood Toy". I knew what I wanted to do the moment the theme was announced, but I was a tad busy this week so it took some time getting it done :) This is a tribute to Bryan and his big sister Jill, she forced him to play GIRL TALK when he was a kid. It is seriously one of the only childhood memories he has really shared with me, mostly because he doesn't apparently remember half of what he did as a child ;D I would normally not edit and use selective color, I find it a bit hokey! However, all the other colors in the image were taking away from Ethan's zits :( I couldn't let that happen! Oh, the joys of childhood......

Where am I?
While out and about today I walked past an aisle and wondered if I had lost my mind. One of my FAVORITE games growing up was Candy Land. I would even play it by myself and just used the little gingerbread people as my favorite characters. Princess Lolly was of course my fave! Come on purple hair and lollipops, why not! Walking past the game I saw no more of its familiar childhood draw :( King candy is on the box looking like a much trimmer HOLLYWOOD version (George Clooneyesk) of himself. King Candy was not cheery at all on my old game, he just stood there superior over his candy dominion! He should be!! The goal was to make it to his candy castle; come on he rules candy land! Instead he now looks like a Krusty the Clown impersonator saying "Hey, Hey kids come to Candyland". My favorite princess Lolly is apparently now a fairy, and has lost the princess title all together. Apparently her purple hair had and overkill dye job and dyed her entire skin purple with it! She is a purple flying fairy! I asked myself, "wasn't my childhood Candyland good enough?" In my eyes it was perfect. So I became curious, when did Candyland start and how much had it changed? So what did I do, I googled it like any normal human being would ;) Truth is Candyland used to look pretty darn lame! Candy hearts, what the heck and where is Lord Licorice! Well where are any of my beloved characters? I guess I realized sometimes they have to change things to be more appealing. Here I am whining about my beloved game changing its look when maybe my Grandma misses Candy Hearts! All I can say is Kylie saw the new box and wanted the game really bad! I told her we already had Candyland, but she said "NOT LIKE THIS ONE!" AAH HAA!!!! There you go ladies and gentlemen!!!!! It's really all about the all mighty dollar! How can we change this to look NEW and make every kid want the NEW version? The board may have changed, but the premis of the game has always been the same, grab a card and move to that color! You could even be a kid like me (so sly) and mark all of the "SPECIAL" cards ;) I don't recall why I thought that helped me? I mean I still had to draw one card from the deck every time :) See the Meeks board game cheating starts at a very young age ;) Well I hoped you enjoyed my rant once again. I just feel like things have majorly changed lately! Come on I used to cry when my Barbies head was ripped off, and now you can buy one and swap their head for a different one! It brings up horrific nightmares of the second Wizard of Oz movie :( That was one freaky show!!!! Okay now I'm rambling so enjoy these photos of the past, my past, and the here and now ;)
This game doesn't look fun at all does it ;)
AWWWW! Sweet Memories :)
I told you King Candy is a little too enthusiastic am I right?

March Update {2011}
Okay March is here! Coming in like a Lion, and it had better go out like a Lamb :) Bry turned 31 on March 1st, but not much has seemed to change. He is busy with work and school just like always. He has a new calling and is excited about it. I think his Dad gave him a passion for scouts! He is now the new Varsity Coach in our ward, and has his work cut out for him. Our program hasn't been running very smoothly so he needs to get all the boys caught up and maybe even get some of them to earn those Eagles ;) Looks like I'll be minus a husband more when camps come around. I am making a few changes with my business right now that I am super excited about!!!! You will just have to stay tuned on that though, I don't want to give away too many details ;) I am keeping busy at home, because soon it will be warm and catching your breath is hard to do! I am also working out and watching what I eat, otherwise known as DIETING! Bry is supposed to be doing it with me, but he doesn't seem to be as determined as I am! I have 20lbs to lose by May 21st and I am sticking with it this time! I found a great app for my phone that is really helping me stay on top of my calorie intake so it has been nice :) Miss Kylie is gearing up for her busy competition season, we recorded her dances this week so that we can practice, practice, practice! She is performing her hip hop routine next Friday at the spinnaker review so we'll get on that one first ;) This year we can pretty much plan on being at the competitions from sun up to sun down since she competes three routines. She loves it though, so I guess I will just need to prepare for some major bleacher butt! Ethan is a little tiger as usual. I swear I don't have a clue where the kid comes up with half of the stuff that he does! He is doing well in school, and is writing his name ( it is so cute). Well that is pretty much it in a nut shell! Just remember to beware the Ides of March! LOL, I hope you have all read Julius Caesar or that make no sense at all!

Project 52 Week 9
This weeks theme is "Express Yourself". Kylie came home pretty upset this week because she found out that she is the only one in her class with green eyes :( I now call it her abnormality, LOL! No matter how dumb it was I hope she always feels comfortable expressing herself to me! These pictures are a tribute to Kye's abnormality :)

Happy Birthday Bryan (aka DADDY)
Yep, today is Bry's 31st birthday :) The old goat! Just teasing, I'll be there soon enough, well four more years, but they fly by! It was cell phone upgrade time, and we signed a new contract so for our anniversary and bry's birthday we got two for one Evo's for $100!!! Good deal right!?! He also got some legos from the kids ;) They wanted to get him the $130 lego Hogwarts castle, but I talked them down to a $15 police one :) We had dinner at Bry's parents house on Sunday and we had some of his favorite eats, and today well he gets off early and I'm sure we'll try to do something special. He has been eyeing a stupid $25 BYU wrist band that he is going to buy with his bday moola, seriously, a rubber $25 bracelet! MEN!!!! Anyways to each there own :)
