My Poem for the Month
Well a lot of you might read this poem and be offended!!! But I love this poem for the reason that it keeps me in check when I think someone elses life seems so much better than mine! Lets just say the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence, no matter how much it seems that way!! Well sorry if it offends anyone it is a little bit of a shocker, but very well written!!!
Richard Corey
Whenever Richard Corey went downtown, we people on the pavement looked at him: He was a gentleman from sole to crown, clean favored, and imperially slim. And he was always quietly arrayed, and he was always human when he talked; but still he fluttered pulses when he said, "Good Morning," and he glittered when he walked. And he was rich-yes, richer than a king, and admirably schooled in every grace: In fine we thought that he was everything to make us wish that we were in his place. So on we worked, and waited for the light, and went without the meat, and cursed the bread; And Richard Corey, one calm summer night, went home and put a bullet through his head.
Edwin Arlington Robinson(written in 1869)
Simon and Garfunkel put this poem to song, but it isn't as good as the real thing! Sorry once again if this was too harsh for you! I really do like this poem and keep it in mind when I feel sorry for myself.

Not offending to me, but rather a good reminder that all may seem rosy on the outside but we have no idea of the struggles people have behind the outer appearance ... thanks for the reminder!
